Quantum BL

Quantum BL is a lateral flow test for the detection of β-lactams antibiotics in raw cow’s milk. It is developed and manufactured to safely test EU MRLs and it can be used in the field or in the lab.

GENERAL INFORMATION:The Quantum BL lateral flow test is based on the competitive format immunoassay principle. It features two capture lines, one for βlactams and one for ceftiofur, placed below the control line, respectively. The detection system consists of a β-lactam receptor and specific antibodies against ceftiofur, both conjugated with gold nanoparticles. During testing, the milk sample flows through the membrane, carrying the detection system. If the sample is free of antibiotics, color development occurs at both test lines, indicating the absence of the targeted analytes. Conversely, the presence of antibiotics in the sample will result in reduced colored intensity at one or both test lines, depending on the antibiotics present. A valid test should always have the upper control line red.
